WRG Now Serving 25 Credit Unions Nationwide and Processing Nearly 300,000 ATM Deposits Per Month
Wescom Resources Group (WRG) has signed three new credit unions to use its ATM deposit balancing solution giving them an effective and automated deposit balancing process. With the addition of the three credit unions, WRG now processes nearly 300,000 ATM deposits per month for 25 credit unions nationwide. The newest credit unions include California Credit Union, Fresno County Federal Credit Union and the Los Angeles Police Federal Credit Union. The combined ATM deposits of the three credit unions total more than 31,000 per month. The three credit unions were attracted to WRG's solution due to its cost-efficient, automated process that allows credit unions a customized solution to fit its specific needs.
"Our method of processing ATM envelopes was outdated and labor intensive," said Jeff Bassill, chief operations officer of Fresno County Federal Credit Union. "We looked into purchasing equipment to streamline the process but were unable to justify the system cost with our current deposit volume. Outsourcing the process to WRG will provide us the cost savings of streamlining without the large capital investment."
WRG's automated ATM deposit balancing service is located at its secured Pasadena item processing center. Deposits from clients are received, cash is removed and balanced, and all deposits are prepared for processing. An electronic file of each client's ATM deposit activity is imported into WRG's system. Using state-of-the-art technology, the envelope contents are then checked against the amount that was entered by the member at the ATM. After processing, adjustment reports and files are available immediately for clients so that any corrections to its member accounts can be quickly completed. Clients also have access through a secure web site to view the images of all the deposited items, including the deposit envelope.
