Unitus Community Credit Union Enhances Member Service with Wescom Resources Group's Home Banking Solution

Unitus Community Credit Union has implemented Wescom Resources Group's (WRG) Internet home banking to enhance member service. The credit union selected WRG's solution for its functionality and robust security features, which are important to its membership.

With the WRG product, Unitus is able to increase security for members through new features such as multi-factor authentication, account alerts, and secured email. "Many of our members were asking for more security and they are thrilled with the additions,'' said Jason Werts, vice president of sales & service of Unitus Community Credit Union. "The staff is pleased with the secured email as it allows them to have more complete and robust conversations with our members. Members also appreciate the ability to fully communicate with their credit union electronically.''

The nearly $675 million credit union was also looking for an Internet home banking solution that was scalable. For example, Unitus wanted the ability to gather financial data from different systems and present it in one unified view for the member. With the WRG product, the credit union will begin later this summer to incorporate detailed information on off-host mortgages into its home banking. "The mortgage information feature is something both members and staff were requesting and we are pleased that we will be able to provide this in the near future,'' added Werts.

Unitus members were notified in advance of the new changes to better prepare them when the new solution was launched. "It generated a great deal of excitement and saw a marked increase in activity within the first few days,'' added Werts. "Overall, our members have been very happy with the new online site. With the positive reaction from our members, I can say our member service has increased due to WRG's solution.''
