About WRG

Background

Wescom Resources Group (WRG) is a wholly-owned CUSO of Wescom Credit Union (over $3 Billion assets, 300,000 members, Pasadena, CA). We specialize in providing technology solutions for credit unions that use the Episys® core host processing system. We serve over 200 of the approximately 550 credit unions nationwide powered by Episys.

WRG’s products and services are designed to help credit unions leverage technology to “fix pain” and achieve business objectives in three key areas:

1.) Providing exceptional member service

2.) Reducing costs, and

3.) Increasing deposits and income

History & Facts

WRG was founded in 2002 with a mission to enable credit unions to access superior technology solutions at below-market, cooperative prices. Our flagship home banking product (now known as MemberEdge Online Banking) was released that year. In addition to online banking, WRG rolled out other key software applications commonly needed by credit unions, including Bill Pay, New Member Application, and our Automated Lending Solution. We also built an infrastructure to support the processing needs of other credit unions, and began providing a turnkey Service Bureau solution.

In January, 2008, WRG acquired eCU Technologies, the technology CUSO of Pennsylvania State Employees Credit Union. The product and service lines of WRG and eCU were highly complementary. Our combination into a single organization has created significant new areas of value for our clients. eCU's already thriving Programming & Consulting Services team has been expanded to support credit unions in new lines of work. And eCU's remote deposit solution (formerly known as UPost Remote Deposit) is being enhanced to support home-based scanner devices.

All told, WRG services over 230 credit unions nationwide. Of those, nearly 50 credit unions use MemberEdge Online Banking as their online banking channel -- serving a total of over 3.2 million consumers nationwide. WRG processes bill payments for 30 credit unions, and remote deposits for 45 credit unions. Over 100 credit unions use WRG for Programming & Consulting services.

Tim Dolan

Tim Dolan is President of Wescom Resources Group (WRG). Prior to joining WRG in October of 2007, Tim served for two years as Vice President, Facilities and Administrative Services for Wescom Credit Union. During that time he managed the successful construction of Wescom's operations center in Anaheim, which serves as the primary application hosting center for WRG clients.

Before Wescom, Tim managed operational divisions at AT&T and Avaya for more than 25 years, where he was responsible for client service, system installation, project management, and maintenance within the Pacific Southwest. Tim earned his Bachelor and Master's degrees in Public Administration from the University of Southern California.
Rob Guilford

Rob Guilford is the Senior Vice President of IT for Wescom Credit Union and the founder of Wescom Resources Group.

Since joining Wescom in 1997, Rob has managed many technology initiatives within the organization. In 2006, he oversaw the design, build out and relocation of Wescom's data center to a new operations center in Anaheim, California. This move included moving primary production systems that support Wescom and over 20 other credit unions. In 2001, Rob oversaw Wescom's conversion to Symitar's Episys core processing system and parlayed this into providing the variety of credit union software applications that are now part of WRG.

Rob has his undergraduate degree in Finance and Accounting, and his Master's degree in Information Systems from University of Southern California.
John Best

John Best is Vice President and Chief Technology Officer of Wescom Resources Group. John leads all product planning and development for WRG. Since joining WRG in 2004, John has effectively managed the implementation teams, envisioned and orchestrated the development and rollout of many new products, and has improved team processes and service levels. John has led the architectural design and enhancement of eBranch, Wescom's electronic banking platform, which is sold to other credit unions under the MemberEdge brand.

John graduated from University of Phoenix with a Bachelor of Science in Information Technology.
